The use of the BOLLFILTER automatic Type 6.64 for filtering the main caustic solution was a measure defined for reducing the contamination level in the bottle washing machine.
The bottles are cleaned in the washing machine using caustic soda, with the ultra-fine particles removed by the BOLLFILTER, in order to improve the quality of cleaning and protect the nozzles on the spray bars from becoming blocked.
The objective is to remove contaminants from the caustic soda solution as early as possible, in order to ensure that the lowest possible levels of residue are transported to the post treatment zones. Paper fibres, glue, ink and other contaminants are the cause of significant problems in the caustic solution. This is exactly where the BOLLFILTER automatic Type 6.64 is used in the partial flow filtration system to continuously filter the caustic solution.
The filter has now been in use at the Dargun Brewery for over a year. Over this period the following improvements have been achieved:
