Simplex coalescer gas filter for generators and turbines
The BOLLFILTER Simplex BFB-C HD is used as a gas filter and coalescence separator in chemical and petrochemical plants, in the offshore industry, and in the power plant sector. This filter is primarily used for filtering fuel gas and seal gas. In cases of heavy contamination, the filter is combined with a pre-separator, e.g. a cyclone or cyclone demister, to separate off solids and liquids. A rapidly rotating flow of gas is required in order to separate out small and lightweight particles. Therefore, the cyclone is designed under actual operating conditions in order to achieve the most efficient separation possible.

BOLLFILTER’s Simplex BFB-C HD is a simplex filter with a coalescer and particle filter for separating solids and aerosols (liquid content) from gases.
The simplex filter guarantees maximum purity for gases with a filter fineness of up to 0.1 micrometres and was developed specifically for an extremely high operating pressure of up to 500 bar. As with all of our high-pressure gas filters, the housing is constructed of steel and stainless steel without any welded joints.
Cleaning the simplex coalescer gas filter
The filter is shut down in the event of a loss of pressure, heavy soiling of the filter, or to replace the disposable filter element. As such, it is ideally suited for use in supervised systems that can be switched off using shut-off devices and for systems with low to medium gas flow rates.
