Automatic filtration in the paper industry

Over the last 35 years, BOLL & KIRCH has supplied many hundreds of their backflushing BOLLFILTER Automatic Type 6.18 to the Finnish Paper Industry. Mill owners have chosen them thanks to a history of exceptional reliability and their minimal maintenance requirements. BOLLFILTER systems have also proven their value in many paper application processes, such as post sand filter ‘policing’ and the filtration of raw water, sealing water, process water and cooling water.

Shower water filtration

One of the most common applications is in shower water processes where the filters protect the shower nozzles. Installed in the shower supply line, they prevent clogging and resultant costly downtime and loss of production.

Proven performance

BOLLFILTER Nordic has supplied dozens of BOLLFILTERs Automatic Type 6.18 for shower water applications, where they provide 24 hour protection with a normal annual service interval. The first shower water BOLLFILTER in Finland was delivered to Stora Enso Varkaus in 1968 and installed in the PM1 wire section shower, where it worked reliably until 2000 when it was upgraded with a new BOLLFILTER. Since then, three other machine’s shower water systems have been upgraded with the installation of BOLLFILTERs Automatic Type 6.18.
