At BOLLFILTER, we provide advanced filtration solutions with a customer focus, developed to meet the requirements of modern industrial processes. Our products, including the BOLLFILTER FineFiltrationUnits and the BOLLFILTER Reverse Osmosis plants, stand for maximum efficiency, reliability and adaptability.
Our FineFiltrationUnits use high-performance ceramic membranes made of silicon carbide (SiC) to treat the wastewater from various industrial processes. These membranes effectively remove suspended particles, oils and large biological structures such as bacteria. Thanks to their robust design and cross-flow operating principle, they are ideal for applications with high contaminant loads and aggressive process media.
The BOLLFILTER reverse osmosis systems provide an efficient solution for removing salts, impurities and other dissolved organic molecules from water. By using the latest reverse osmosis technology, highly purified water is provided for various industrial applications. Our extraordinary process know-how characterizes our membrane systems. This allows challenging process wastewaters of any kind to be reliably treated.

The Fine Filter Unit (FFU) is a fully automatic membrane filtration system that is designed for operation with ceramic tubular membranes as well as ceramic plate membranes. Depending on the selected membrane type and its retention properties, the system enables precise fine filtration, removing particles from the feed liquid that are larger than the pore size of the membrane. Thanks to the high chemical resistance and robustness of ceramic materials, the FFU is also ideal for separating traces of oil and other hydrophobic substances from aggressive process media.
Depending on the application, the quality of the permeate can be continuously monitored - for example using optional sensors such as oil content measuring devices.
During the filtration process, the retained solids and impurities accumulate in the recirculation circuit or in the membrane tank. As soon as a defined concentration factor is reached, the concentrate is discharged intermittently via a special sludge outlet in order to maintain process efficiency.
The length of a filtration cycle is limited by the gradual fouling of the membrane surfaces and pores, which leads to an increase in transmembrane pressure (TMP) and a decrease in permeate flow. If the flow rate falls below a minimum value, the system automatically starts a cleaning-in-place (CIP) cleaning process. In this fully automatic cleaning sequence, water and chemical cleaning agents are passed over the membrane surfaces - each adapted to the specific design of the tube or plate modules - to remove deposits and restore the performance of the membrane. Once the cleaning process is complete, the FFU seamlessly switches back to filtration mode.
Our systems reliably remove impurities and ensure clean water.
