aquaBoll BWT as pre-filter of ballast water treatment systems

Modern ballast water treatment systems require good ballast water pre-filters to meet the strict discharge requirements. The aquaBoll® BWT was developed for these requirements of fine filtration to 20 µm with simultaneous large flow rates of up to 3000 m3/h seawater.

The compact series is matched to the system performance and pump capacities of the treatment systems on board. A large screening area and a new type of backwash arrangement allow safe operation with a wide range of water qualities and high dirt loads. 

Cost savings through a fully automatic ballast water filter

Due to automatic backflushing, perfect regeneration of the filter mesh is ensured. The filter, operating fully automatic, conforms to the regulations of unsupervised operation on ships. A continuous series with different sizes of housing and nominal connection widths, permit adapted dimensioning of the ballast water filter to individual circumstances.
