The BOLLFILTER Automatic Type 6.64 is a cooling lubricating filter from BOLL & KIRCH. A cooling lubrication filter (KSS filter) ensures that coolants are cleaned whilst being used. Because cooling lubricant is contaminated by the smallest particles from the different mechanical processing procedures in the metal processing industry. Thus, in order to ensure long maintenance intervals and operating times of the tools, the use of a reliable filter for the cooling lubricant is essential. Simultaneously, the use of cooling lubricants by using a KSS filter is minimized.

Due to its compact construction, the BOLLFILTER Automatic Type 6.64 can also be used for small footprints as a filter for cooling lubricant and be integrated as a component in all general configurations of systems. However, it has a high filter capacity. In addition, the filter elements with smooth surface are quickly and easily accessible.

How the coolant filter works

Depending on the overall size, four to ten filter chambers are integrated in the KSS filter. Each chamber is equipped with multiple filter elements from precision filter candles that are resistant to differential pressure - with large filter areas and high, free cross-sections for a low pressure loss. With this automatic filter, one of the filter chambers is on standby and waits to be connected. In this way, the cooling lubricant filter continues to operate reliably and ensures continuous operation.
Cleaning of the filter element is carried out automatically by backflushing, so that the BOLLFILTER Automatic Type 6.64 is excellently suitable for continuous, low-maintenance and long service life, also without personnel. Due to the assistance by compressed air for automatic cleaning, only an extremely low quantity of flushing volume is required.
